At Inument, we are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer. You should have good knowledge of test automation, and take ownership of the requirements and projects. You will get the scope to work with the latest technology stacks, and interesting projects.

• Salary: MYR 6,000 – 7,000/monthly (Negotiable based on skills and experience)
• Must-Have: Strong expertise in Test Automation. Working with international projects and speaking experience with foreign clients. 

Job Description:

• Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria for testability and automation scope
• Participate in sprint planning and estimate testing efforts
• Design detailed test cases and ensure coverage aligns with requirements
• Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable automation frameworks for mobile and web applications
• Execute automated test suites and conduct regression testing to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionality
• Perform manual testing when automation is not feasible
• Log, track, and follow up on defects until closure
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders
• Manage and maintain test data integrity
• Prepare and maintain clear test documentation
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to process improvements
• Continuously improve automation practices and adopt AI-assisted testing where relevant

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong hands on experience with Appium, Selenium, and WebDriverIO
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for automation scripting
• Solid understanding of test design techniques, regression testing, and defect lifecycle
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Practical experience with Git and branching strategies
• Working knowledge of Jira for defect tracking
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) for test creation and validation is a plus
• CTFL certification is good to have
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to mentor team members and make sound technical decisions in fast-paced environments

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of software and mobile application development processes and methodologies.
